| | there comes a time in life where ur mentality changes, things that mean the world to you dont seem important anymore.... real important things that you have ignored creep up and you finally REALIZE that the world isnt all it seems.... college life can help you open up your little enclosed head.... it can make you appreciate yourself more as an independant being....
there comes a time where each person is faced with a choice, a choice of responsibility.... you can either take up the mantle and be responsible, or you can be irresponsible.... and there is NO SUCH THING as slightly responsible or anything in the middle.... its a simple thing of either you are or your not.... discipline, responsibility and being independant are all steps to being a mature and better human being in the end....
if everyone were to stop for a moment, and think for others as much as they think for themselves, wont that make it a better place? think care and love people you never knew existed, people you never cared about..... touching their lives for Christ through a good Christian lifestyle.... doing what you know is RIGHT in God's sight, and NEVER getting sidetracked or influenced by the world....
i have seen many, many people including myself fall short in this aspect..... we get caught up in the fun, in the excitement and in the lucrative prospects the world has to offer.... i have seen people compromise their beliefs just because of peer pressure.... i have seen people doing what they know its wrong, but do it anyway - just because its "fun".....
the way of the world has ALWAYS been more tempting than the way of Christ.... BUT, although most of us know that the latter is better by far, many of us tend to take the easy way out..... we dont hold true to what we believe in, what we know its better for us in the long run..... and sadly so, many have gone astray....
the time has come to take up the mantle of responsibility, to live responsibly in the way of Christ, to be the people we are called to be.... God made us to have a full and happy life.... As far as i know, you can neither have a full nor happy life if you live by the world's standards.... only by God's standards can you truly have a full AND happy life...
the choice is yours...
some food for thought
